Sony Financial Services: FAQ

1. Will I require any form of identification in order to complete the finance application?

Yes. If you are a UK resident (excluding Northern Ireland) you will require one of the following – Driving Licence (photo and paper sections), Passport or Electricity Bill (dated within last 3 months). If you a resident in either Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland you will require your Passport only. You will also require your bank or building society sort code and account number.

2. How much can I borrow?

The amount of credit available to you is dependant on your credit score, which is determined once your application is successfully completed and submitted. We will always endeavour to offer you enough credit to cover your chosen purchases. Please note that the minimum order value is £500 inc VAT

3. Is a deposit/administration fee required for your online Credit Agreement?

Yes - you will be required to enter your Credit or Debit card details as part of the finance application. The card must be in your name. Our finance partner will use the card details to collect the deposit/admin fee upon successful completion and approval of the credit application.

4. How are my monthly payments made?

All monthly payments are paid by Direct Debit from your personal bank account. Representively the first payment to Creation Consumer Finance Ltd will be due one month after the date of the finance agreement (with the exception of Buy Now Pay Later agreements). Subsequent payments will be due every month for the length of term on that day of the month.

5. What type of purchases can I make using a Credit Agreement?

You can use a Credit Agreement to purchase a Sony Configure to Order VAIO laptop, software(e.g. Microsoft Office), VAIO laptop accessoriies and a warranty from Sony. Please note that the minimum order value is £500 inc VAT

6. What length of repayment is available?

There are a variety of repayment options available, dependant on the type of Credit Agreement you choose from Creation Consumer Finance Limited. More details are available within the credit application form online.

7. How do I apply for a Credit Agreement?

Simply return to the Sony Store, select your chosen product(s) and when you are checking out select 'Credit Agreement' as your preferred payment method. You can apply, receive a decision AND sign all the relevant documentation whilst you are online!

8. Can I get an instant decision online now?

Yes once you pick 'Credit Agreement' as your preferred payment option, you will be asked to complete an online application form. A decision will be made, plus you can sign all the relevant documentation whilst online. Meaning your purchases can be shipped to you as soon as possible.

9. What is eSign Online?

Upon credit approval, eSign Online is the ability to sign your credit agreement online.
